About Green Tree Woodworks

Green Tree Woodworks was founded in 2004. My first workshop was a renovated metal shed in the small mountain town of Victor, Idaho on the west side of the Teton Range. The business has grown and evolved since then and moved “over the hill” to a new Jackson, Wyoming shop location, but the guiding principal has remained unchanged: to design and build beautiful and functional cabinets and furniture customized to the client’s individual needs. My designs tend toward simple, clean lines and proportions inspired from the local Wyoming landscapes, while making use of readily available hardwoods and locally sourced materials. I strive to create “more with less” through my designs, resulting in my pieces having an understated elegance informed by the exceptional natural beauty of this place we call home. Sustainably harvested materials are used, as well as reclaimed lumber. Designs are often married with stone or metal, and natural non-toxic finishes are used. Pieces are born through a collaborative process with clients, many of whom I have been working with for years. It is through this process of working closely with people through the design, planning and creation of beautiful projects where I find the most gratification in my craft, and appreciation for my client’s support. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, or for a list of client or professional references. Sincerely, Ben Hammond
